2-room apartment (48 sqm) nearby Hackesche Hoefe in the scenic Berlin district of Mitte. The flat is situated in the 4th floor in Gipsstrasse, a parallel running street with Sophienstrasse in Mitte/centre.
The high quality equipped apartment is located nearby the Hackesche Hoefe, a warren of eight beautifully restored courtyards. Despite the scenic location, it is located quietly in a green courtyard. After leaving the courtyard you will find yourself in the middle of the turbulent and scenic district of Mitte. Due to an extensive network of public transport, all sights of the city are easily accessible.
You will find groceries for your daily needs straight in front of your door.

The flat has got a wireless LAN access (WiFi, WLAN). You will receive 2 sets of keys. We can also offer you parking space in a safe parking house. Additional to this, we also offer you a pick-up- & bring-service at a moderate price. This means that a driver will pick you up at the airport or the station and bring you to the flat - and opposite.

The district of Mitte is definetely the district with the most tourist attractions in the whole town. The list of sights and historical buildings and squares, is endless. The Brandenburger Gate, a landmark both before and after reunion, is the most famous monument in Berlin. From here the magnificent boulevard Unter den Linden runs almost all the way to Alexanderplatz with its Television Tower and World Time Clock. On the way you will be passing the Humboldt University, the oldest university in Berlin, Staatsopera (the Operahouse), Museumsinsel (the Museum Island) and the place of the future Stadtschloss (town castle).
The Museumsinsel (Museum Island) belongs to the World Heritage. It is a treasure-trove of famous museums. Friedrichstrasse is today a commercial shopping boulevard with noble and grand magazines, like Galerie Lafayette, Quartier Latin and international couture boutiques. The street leads to checkpoint Charlie, the main gateway for Allies, non-Germans and diplomats before the wall came down - and on the other end to Oranienburger Strasse.
This former Jewish quarter is a very popular district for going out and very famous for its nightlife and hip young crowd. Nearby you will find the Neue Synagoge and the Hackesche Hoefe. Gendarmenmarkt, which is said to be one of the most beautiful squares in Europe, is not far away. Here you will find buildings like the Schauspielhaus as well as the German- and French Cathedral.

Berlin has an extensive network of public transport. In due to the central location a lot of visitors leave their cars parked or don't even come to town by car at all. Many of the tourist attractions are easily accessible. The apartment is located nearby the underground station U/S-Bahnhof Hackescher Markt in the former East Berlin, nearby you will find sights like Alexanderplatz, Brandenburger Gate and the famous boulevard Unter den Linden. Several urban railway stations (S-Bhf.), busses (also night busses) and a taxi rank can be found straight in front of your door.
The next motorway exit is situated 7 kilometers away - north of the flat - and will take you only a couple of minutes by car. It is called "Dreieck Funkturm".
How to get to the flat:
From Tegel Airport: take bus no 128 to underground station (U-Bahnhof) Osloer Strasse, there you change into line U8 in the direction of Hermannstrasse and get off at U-Bahnhof Weinmeister Strasse (42 minutes). From there it will take you only a couple of minutes by foot, about 150 meters.
From Schoenefeld Airport: take S9 (urban railway) to the station Jannowitzbruecke, change into underground line U8 in the direction of Wittenau and get off at the station Weinmeister Strasse (53 minutes) From there it will take you only a couple of minutes by foot, about 150 meters.
From Hauptbahnhof (the main train station) you travel with S5 - (the urban railway) in the direction of Strausberg and get off at the station Hackescher Markt (5 minutes). From there you will have a walking distance of about 300 meters to the flat.
