Pretty Guestroom (13 sqm, max. 2 people) in Berliner grand period building with a confortable bed (160x205). The fully equipped kitchen has an electric stove, a fridge, cutlery, coffee machine, microwave, toaster, dishes and kitchenware: everything you need, from wine glasses to frying pans, to prepare a quick breakfast or a delightful dinner. There is a bathroom with shower, and enough storage place. Towels and bed linen are included. Free WLAN available.

The building is only few mintues away from city east or west. You will be in the old alternative center of Berlin. From here you can catch all cultural events, restaurants, cafès, supermarkets are in the immediate neighbourhood. Public transport (undergound and busses) are two minutes' walk away.

There are numerous shopping opportunities nearby, as well as trendy areas and a lively cultural- and night-life directly on your doorstep. A large and beautiful market (Markheinickeplatz with market hall) is also nearby, reputed to be one of the most interesting markets in Berlin

You will meet the typical mixture of antiques shops, countless cafés and a multitude of restaurants, art shops, galeries, antiquarian bookstores, antiquities and small businesses. The many small and medium shops in the area offer a diverse shopping experience.

The urban diversity of Berlin makes for a quality of life that is particularly attractive. Berlin is rich in signs of its history and its present, in inner city landscapes and urban closeness, in big city life, and in peaceful places.

In Berlin you find a very extensive public transportation net. Many sights are directy and rapidly accessible. Because of the central location most guests leave their cars parked or do not even bring it along at all. The apartment lies directly at U-train station Gneisenaustrasse in the western city near Mitte district. Public transport (underground lines and busses) are right in front of the door.

The nearest motorway exit is situated 4 kilometres away - south of the flat - and will take you only a couple of minutes by car. It is called Tempelhof.

Since 1st January 2008, Berlin's inner city is an "environmental zone", where only cars that comply with strict emission standards are allowed. You will need a sticker with information about the emission standards of your car.

From the airport Tegel you take the bus 109 (direction Zoologischer Garten) to the station Jacob-Kaiser-Platz, change there into the underground line U7 (direction Rudow) and travel to the station Gneisenaustrasse (about 32 min.).

From the airport Schönefeld you take the bus X7 (direction Rudow) to the station Rudow, change here into the underground line U7 (direction Rathaus Spandau) and travel to the station Gneisenaustrasse (about 34 min.).

From Hauptbahnhof (central train station) you take the S-Bahn to the station Friedrichstrasse, and change here into the undergound line U6 (direction Alt-Mariendorf) and travel to the station Mehringdamm. There, you change into the underground line U7 (direction Rudow) and travel to the station Gneisenaustrasse (about 17 min.).
